Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Note: the model infant seat is not listed on this web site. it is the 22-630-bal infant carrier base that this complaint addresses. i am a certified child safety seat technician and in attempting to install the new eddie bauer infant carrier base (part of the eddie bauer its travel system (ballard) available at babies r us), in the center rear seat position of a 2001 subaru outback, was unable to securely install the base of this seat according to manufacturer's instructions and standard nhtsa procedures. once the seat was installed after placing full body weight (140 lbs) of pressure on the seat and pulling lap belt tight, the seat base moved a total of 5-6" side to side, due to the excess space between the seat belt connectors. (the same situation occurs in other vehicle types using latch connectors.) the base's belt path (same as latch path) is situated such that once installed, i was able to flip the base up with one finger and it came entirely out of the seat belt webbing. the seat belt was working properly. *jb
