| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Yamaha majesty yp400 scooter: low-speed stalling. my scooter now has 800 miles on it and it has stalled seven times at low speeds. typical event leading up to failure: nothing special except the problem occurs at very low speed, ie under 10 mph. a majesty user's web site (www.majestyusa.com) indicates via poll that 65% of users have the low-speed stalling problem. the problem is inherently dangerous as the scooter stalls at low speed, as when slowing at a red light and then re-accelerating to proceed. the stall leaves the driver without power in traffic. yamaha hasn't acknowledged the problem. *nm |
