Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: About a year after purchasing my jeep wrangler i noticed that my airbag light would come on for a while and then go out repeatedly. i thought that it was just a faulty bulb and for the most part ignored it. then it started staying on all the time, so yesterday, after the horn quit and all the fuses were intact, i had it checked,by a mechanic. the mechanic stated that it's failure was being caused by a faulty clockspring which is a common problem on jeep wranglers. and after researching this on the internet, i found this to be correct. however i only see where the recall is listed only for previous years. but if you read some of the feedback left on the jeep websites this is an ongoing problem. i am going to have the part replaced, but i would like to know if the 2000 wrangler is included in a recall for this problem ? thanks.....g.d.gray. *jb |
