Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: The srs airbag warning light was flashing when i purchased my 2006 nissan quest special edition (april 1, 2006), the dealer never indicated that it was a problem at the time of sale. when i read the manual at home, it indicated that a flashing srs airbag warning light is a problem and that the vehicle should be serviced by a dealer to avoid serious injury. i have brought it to the dealer (north texas nissan) for repairs twice and once for diagnostics (bankston nissan of dallas) but the problem still persist. i have called nissan north america numerous times requesting them to send a specialist but never received a call back which i was told would be within 24 hours of my calls. after sending a letter to nissan north america requesting them to re-purchase the vehicle pursuant to texas lemon laws which they received on may 12, 2006, i received a written reply that stated that they are not in a position to re-purchase my vehicle and to call them to schedule a time where a specialist may inspect the vehicle. i called them and they have scheduled an appointment for a specialist to inspect the vehicle on june 21, 2006. my wife and my two toddlers have been riding in an vehicle where the airbags may go off for no reason or may not go off in an accident (based on a statement form the assistant service manager of bankston nissan of dallas) for the past 2 months with little or no response from nissan north america. *jb
