Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Wires connectors that attach the regulator/rectifier and stator melted. white smoke was emitting from under the rear seat. after removing the seat, i notice that oil was present in the area surrounding the regulator/rectifier and one of wires had burn loose. this also caused the junction/box headlight relay switch to fail. i received a $175 equipment failure ticket. fortunately it was about 6:00 pm and still light out. i call the locate kawasaki dealer to see if there were any recalls. i had to cut wires to the regulator/rectifier, stator and solder/crimp, because the connector was badly damage; there wasn't a good connection being made. i also had to replace the junction/fuse box, because it housed a relay that operates the lights. old parts are available. *jb |
