Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I have a trailer mounted piece of equipment purchased through u.s. jetting (1-800-538-8464) while towing this equipment on monday june 12, 2006 i noticed that the trailer was no longer leveled with my truck that was towing the trailer, it was in fact the trailer was excessively lower than my truck. when i pulled over on the shoulder of the highway i noticed that the tongue portion of the actual hitch that was bolted to the frame of the machine had literally ripped through the bolts. causing the safety chains to save this piece of equipment from going down a major highway and causing a very serious accident and maybe a death! the tongue is a stationary piece bolt to the trailer, the steel that these bolts go through and attach to the trailer frame failed under everyday normal use! when i contacted the manufacture on thursday june 15, 2006 there attitude was very non- receptive and didn't want to be bothered with this dangerous situation. please help! *jb |
