Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Took my 2006 jeep wrangler sport right-hand drive to an independent service garage for routine oil change at approx. 6900 miles. they tested all the lights and found that both main brake lights were not functioning, and not due to bulb failure. the third light, above the spare tire, was working properly. i took it to the dealer under warranty, where they determined the problem was a faulty steering column electrical stalk system assembly. no accident occurred, though such a brake light failure could potentially cause a very serious crash. the dealership replaced the faulty steering column stock assembly under warranty, and the defective part was not saved. *nm |
