| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Since purchasing our 2004 chrysler sebring (touring) new off the dealer's lot in the summer of 2004, we have experienced several cases of sudden and unexplained stalling. the problem seems to happen most often when we come to a stop during highway driving. the car usually sputters a few seconds before stalling. i then have to put the car in park, turn off the ignition and then turn the keys back. this has resulted in several near-misses because cars approaching from behind do not realize my vehicle is dead. over the past two years, we have experienced about 15 to 20 stalling incidents. after the first few cases, we took the car to the chrysler dealership and they could not replicate the stalling and could not find any fault codes or obvious defects. we have contacted the dealership several times since our visit to see if chrysler has issued any updates on the apparent manufacturing issue. so far, we have not received any advice on what to do about the problem. *nm |
