Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: My 2004 gmc envoy xuv had at least 12 failures to stop. this issue began occurring as soon as i bought it new in 2005. description of the issue: 1. while applying brakes, brake pedal becomes soft for a period of time (shortest 1 second, longest 3-4 seconds) causing failure to stop. 2. issue is very intermittent and occurs at any traveling speeds (example: 75 mph, 15 mph)... what was done: 1. first complaint to service department in 2005: no issues found. 2nd complaint at 2005: dealer replaced brake booster. 3rd complaint in jun 2006: dealer replaced brake booster again. conclusion: since this issue is very intermittent and i do not drive this vehicle very often, it may take some time to verify the fix. i do not feel safe to drive this suv. *nm |
