| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I purchased a 2006 chevrolet corvette in january of this year and have been hearing there was going to be a safety recall on the removable tops. there have been some instances of the tops flying off of the cars at highway speeds. my cars top has come completely off and is undrivable. i am currently working with gm and my local dealership to get this resolved but all i am getting is back talk from the gm representative. all i did to get my top to come off was shut the drivers side door one day and it popped up and almost fell off. i understand these tops are only held on by some kind of urethane glue that is coming loose. the top on my car now has completely come off . any and all help would be greatly appreciated. *jb |
