Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: I experienced stalls and power surges. dealer replaced fuel pressure regulator due to recall. six months later car reached extremely high temperature then died. mechanic replaced cracked plenum. gaskets, pipes, assembly, seals and sensor resulting in $1234 repair bill. contacted gm and got full reimbursement as vehicle has only 37,000 miles on engine. less than 250 miles after repair, engine produces loud knocking noise and loss of power while driving home from town 90 miles from home on july 4th. mechanic says one of the pistons/rods is bad, more then likely a result of the previous problems. have not been successful in reaching the extremely helpful customer service representative i was dealing with from gm but i will not drop this! last quote for current repair was $1100. *jb
