Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: I have a 2005 jeep cherokee with 3,000 miles. i took it in for a transmission seal recall, e13. two days after it was serviced, i was on the highway and the transmission burned up, leaving me stranded. car had to be towed 150 miles to dealer who handled recall. my car has been in the shop a month. i am having to pay daily car rental which has now cost me over $1,200 in addition to having to make a car payment for a car i don't have. i keep getting different answers from dealer, said transmission ordered days ago from new jersey, now says it was ordered yesterday, july 14, he says he can't tell me anything, when, if it is new or rebuilt, or how much longer i have to wait. i have never been treated so rudely by a dealership, manager, and service manager. i will never purchase a vehicle from that dealer again and i am inclined to never buy another jeep product. i am at the point of turning the car back and seeking legal action if something isn't done about this outrageous situation. *jb
