Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Dt*: the contact stated there were on intermittent problems with the brakes. the vehicle has taken the vehicle to the dealer on four occasions for the same problems. while the engine was running and the vehicle was immobile with the brake pads applied, the vehicle surged forward. this almost caused serious accidents or crashes into pedestrians in some incidents. the vehicle was taken to the dealers and they could not duplicate the problem or determined the cause for the problem. after the last incident, the insurance company notified the contact that they would no longer cover the vehicle because of the potential cause of injuries and accidents due to the defect. the insurance company had the vehicle towed to the dealer for further investigation and service. the manufacturer was contacted and they determined the dealer would remedy the problem with the vehicle. dt: the contact stated that the vehicle experiences on going problems with the brakes and has taken the vehicle in to the dealers on four separate occasions for the same, intermittent problems. while the engine is on and the vehicle in a sitting position with the brake pads applied under normal conditions and with no warning, the vehicle surges forward and almost caused serious accidents or crashes into pedestrians in some incidents. the vehicle would be taken to the dealers and they could not duplicate the problem and cannot find the cause for the problem. on the last incident, the insurance company notified the contact that they would no longer cover the vehicle because of the potential cause of injuries and accidents due to the defect. the insurance company had the vehicle towed back to the dealers for further investigation and service. the manufacturer was called and stated that the dealers must remedy the vehicles defect. the vehicle is currently at the dealers under examination for the cause of the problem. |
