| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I purchased a brand new 2006 honda odyssey from a local dealer. i noticed sometime after the purchase the air conditioning didn't seem to be very cold. i chalked it up to the weather being hotter than normal, and my failure to not read the manual. when all else failed, i read the manual. no real help, i wasn't doing anything wrong. took it to the dealer. i was informed that a rock hit the condenser and therefore the repair wasn't covered under the warranty. i haven't even made the first payment on the van and a $700+ repair bill. i think not. honda has agreed to pay for fixing it as a "one time goodwill gesture." sounds like a load of crap to me. that only addresses the current situation and not the problem. also, come to find out per the dealer, they have had this happen at least twice in the last two years. not to mention a couple of complaints on this site. not a fluke. now i'm stuck with a vehicle that i'm concerned will get another rock in the condenser leading to a huge repair bill. sounds like a big design flaw that honda needs to fix! *nm |
