| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Police officer on a traffic stop. left rear tire suddenly went flat while stopped. flat tire changed by local service station roadside assistance. wheel/tire taken to public works garage for repair. examination of wheel/tire by mechanic finds a crack in steel wheel. further examination of wheel with tire removed reveals crack is 17" long and approximately 1/8" wide along weld area. cracked wheel is still in the possession of the vernon hills public works department. *nm |
