Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Axle seal leak. right rear seal. fluid caused parking brake to slip slightly. occurred at 37,000 miles on 2004 nissan titan 4x4. dealer repaired and replaced under nissan 60,000 mile power-train warranty. [forum members generally believe the rear axle breather element, (a one way check valve), creates a vacuum that sucks the seals, thereby creating the leak. some even remove the element and install tubing into their tail light to alleviate the check valve and still prevent water intrusion into the differential/axle]. *jb |
