Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: While driving down a steep grade, engine cut out and set a ses code. had a hard time getting the suv to stop and almost lost control of vehicle, but due to the slow nature of driving i kept it under control with 8 occupants in suv. once stopped, i got out code reader and found out that the cps (cam position sensor) had failed. i had a spare in the suv and replaced it. contacted ford main office and they have known it to be a problem with the diesels and nothing is being done to get a recall or replacement part to fix cps problem. *jb |
