Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Dt*: the contact stated while driving 30 mph to purchase a replacement tire for the vehicle, a rattling noise was heard. while the vehicle was at the independent repair shop, the mechanic attempted to restart the vehicle, but it would not start and made a rattling noise. the mechanic determined that the timing chain was broken. there were no warning signals prior to the failure. the noise began on the day of the incident. the engine was replaced 2 to 3 years prior to this incident. through research on the internet, the contact found many complaints regarding the engine for this year, make and model. there was a class action suit on the internet as well. the vehicle had regular maintenance and oil changes performed.
