| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: My 2000 gmc pick up truck has a loud engine noise referred to as piston slap. the noise has been present since i purchased the vehicle. i have since found that this is a common defect with some gm engines. the dealer states that there is nothing wrong with my vehicle but many web sites describe it as a manufacturing & design defect. i believe this causes decreased performance and increased fuel consumption. *nm |
