Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Dt*: the contact stated while driving 30 mph on a rural road, the contact smelled gas and noticed there were flames between the cab and the bed. the fire department was called and determined the fire originated underneath the cab of the vehicle where the fuel filter was located. the vehicle was towed to the dealership where the dealership contacted the manufacturer. the manufacturer sent an independent inspector to inspect the vehicle and determined the problem was a defective fuel filter.
