Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: 2002 chevy silverado was being driven and a steel brake line popped while braking for a downhill grade, causing loss of braking. if we had been towing our horse trailer an accident would certainly have occurred. the brake line is severely rotted and rust flakes off easily. the line is held to the frame, under the cab and not in a location where damage or wear should occur. the vehicle is too new and has low miles (55k) and this failure should not have happened. *jb
