Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: This is in regards to nhtsa action number: ea02015. this has been an ongoing problem with the accel pedal getting stuck. dealer said it is normal which it is not. happens randomly when maneuvering at lower speeds parking lots/streets etc. you have to give the pedal a firm push to get it unstuck and the truck lunges fwd. someone is going to get hurt by this. i have seen many many complaints of this on the boards/chat rooms. i was with my young daughter driving and this occurred and she pulled out and pedal/throttle got stuck. she gave gas and lost control of vehicle narrowly missing semi. this is a major problem and gm needs to address. my independent mechanic says this is very common on this yrs chevy silverados and no fix exists. *cbc *nm |
