Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: On vehicles without remote door locks there is no way to unlock and enter the vehicle from the passenger side. this is a safety hazard for those of us with small children we need to secure in a child seat and for those of us who have infirm and elderly parents we transport. it is especially bad in inclimate weather. access to the locked passenger side requires the driver to go to the driver's side, unlock the door, crawl in and reach across the seat during which time the driver's door springs fully open into traffic, unlock the door, get out of the vehicle, go back around to the passenger side, secure the passenger in the child seat or seatbelt the older adult in the vehicle, shut the door and go back around to the driver's side to enter. there are many opportunities during this process for the unattended passengers to wander off and become injured before being secured in the vehicle and danger to the driver and the vehicle when the door pops open into traffic.
