| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Intermittent gear locking up between gears 2+3 and 3+4. pulling over to side of road and rocking the bike back and forth releases. unit has also popped in and out of gear 3 while under power and occurrences are increasing in frequency as the bike ages. 1999 v92c victory motorcycle 19,000 miles. dealer has acknowledged trans upgrade kit to remedy the problem and indicated polaris resolved issue with trans a year ago with customers (2005). i've been told that i would need to pay approximately $3,000 for the fix, since it was not a recalled item. *nm |
