Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: The front sprocket nut on my 2000 victory 92c motorcycle and it's retaining clip fell off. i took it to the dealer and they charged me $196 to put a new nut and retaining clip on. today, i learned that your recall 06v303000 covers the replacement of the sprocket assembly due to a defect with the retaining clip. my sprocket was damaged beyond repair but wasn't replaced by the dealer. he says his mechanic missed it. today my dealer called victory, spoke with john. victory stated that they would not repair my bike under the recall but would not state why. they would not tell the dealer whether my vin is on the recall list or not. they just said they would bear no responsibility at this time. *nm
