Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: The honda odyssey in question was purchased in the 1st week of january 2006 and had about 6000 miles on it. i noticed that the front brakes were making grinding noises while stopping. these noises are not so prominent when the brakes are applied mildly (as in the case of coasting to a stop), but are clearly heard inside the cabin when the brakes are applied a little more firmly (as one would do it to bring the vehicle to a halt quickly). i took the vehicle to a honda dealership to have this looked at. later in the day i was informed that and the front brake pads have been replaced and the rotors refinished due to a defect in the front brake pads. i have a reason to believe that there have been more cases of this happening and i would like to request nhtsa to look into whether this is a more prevalent problem than just a random incident. *nm |
