Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Dt*: the contact stated the vehicle's engine cam bolt backed out causing the motor to blow. the service dealer determined the engine needed to be replaced. the contact expressed this was a vehicle defect and was looking for a recall. updated 10/17/2006 - the consumer experienced the second failure at 29000 miles, the third failure at 37000. a fourth failure at 49000. the final failure occurred at 64000 and the consumer was advised by land rover that the engine was blown and that a remanufactured on could be installed. *nm
