Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: We installed the hitch system on our 2004 toyata sienna van at u-haul spring center tx on 10/28/2005. we were informed by another driver on road that vehicle's brake lights were not functioning on 07/26/06. toyota dealer found a blown fuse, and replace it. next day on highway, we found the signal lights were not functioning properly. the vehicle was checked in parking lot and found that the brake lights also out again, and the shift gear locked in parking position. fortunally no accident happended on highway. the vehicle was towed to toyota sevice station, it was found that the u-haul installed hitch wiring harness was shorting out the taillights, brake lights, shift release solenoid. and it was also found that the wiring were routed along sharp edge of frame, and bumper and in behind assemblies in the rear hatch channel, (this wrongly wiring layout was verified and confirmed by u-haul center slidell la laterly). the hitch wiring haness was disconnected and fuse was replaced. the vehicle is working properly now. *jb
