| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I have a 2001 nissan pathfinder le that has approximately 74000 miles on it. this summer, the oem 6 disc cd changer by clarion in the car has stopped working properly. it was not used inappropriately or abnormally in any way. i inserted a cd into it, and it displayed "err2" on the screen, and began clicking repeatedly, and the cd did not play at all. i was able to eject all cd's from the changer, but the unit continues to not work. in subsequent attempts to play a cd in the changer, the same error "err2" displays and i hear the repeated clicking. i have not tried to replace the unit or fix this problem at all. i have done some online research and found that this is a very common defect in nissan pathfinders by readying/joining a forum where hundreds of users are experiencing the same problem. in fact, i have found pay services dedicated to repairing this unit because of the overwhelming population of users with the same problem. i believe nissan should resolve this issue immediately. thanks. *nm |
