| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: My 6 year old daughter's finger got caught in the sliding door of our 2000 honda odyssey mini van. the door mechanism failed to detect her finger in its path and proceeded to close resulting in contusion and abrasion. she was treated at an emergency care facility where they ruled out any broken bones (thankfully). extreme human force was needed to pry the door open so that she could remove her injured finger from the closed door. this door has been checked in the past on 2 occasions by 2 separate honda dealerships. both determined that the door operated in compliance with the manufacturer's guidelines. i am so thankful that the outcome was not more serious as it could have been. i am only interested in getting the word out to other owners and find out what the manufacturer has to say about these circumstances. *nm |
