| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I brought my car to the dealership in late august for regular maintenance. i told them i was having a long crank when starting the car. they said i probably did not put the gas cap on tight and air got into the tank. i disagreed with this but supposedly diagnostics these days pick up on everything. a week later i was driving down an incline and my gas gauge dropped from 1/2 tank to e. i immediately pulled into a gas station and the tank took 15 gallons. we run through a tank of gas maybe once every two weeks. usually, i top off the tank. therefore, i did not notice this problem again until last weekend. in this instance, when the gas gauge got to just below 1/2 tank , dropped to e and stalled. we were in highway traffic. we immediately restarted the car and got to a gas station. the car would only take 8 gallons. i am bringing it to the dealer tomorrow. btw, still have the long crank...it has never gone away. *nm |
