| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Police department operated four 2007 dodge intrepids, 4 doors, police packages. two of the vehicles experienced multiple rear strut failures with in a 12 month period. one vehicle experienced a failure during an emergency response that resulted in the officer losing control of the vehicle, wrecking and totaling the vehicle and doing $15,000 damage to 2 vehicles and a house. the officer was lucky and only received minor injuries. the last failure was 3 years after purchase. three of the vehicles vins are within 5 numbers of each other. struts have been replaced as they failed except on the vehicle that was totaled. department has pictures of struts from accident. incident date is that of the accident.*jb |
