| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: While driving my 2005 chevy trailblazer the headlights go out momentarily and i also notice a flickering on the dash lights. this normally happens within the first 5 minutes of driving and continues for the 15 minute commute. so far i only notice this happening at night. i normally drive about 10 miles each way to work. i work 12 hour shifts both days and nights. as a result, i tend to have to drive to work and home in the dark. i am worried that the system will totally fail. furthermore, when i am driving behind people and the headlights keep flashing at them it causes me to worry that their attention is now focused on my headlights instead of the road. the first time it happened i had my radio, rear-defrost and headlights on. i also noticed that the battery/charging gauge drops below 10v when this happens. however, the same condition has been repeated with only the necessary equipment running. for example, headlights, taillights, and dash lights, all other equipment off. i currently have been doing a some reading on-line and have found that many people who own the 2005 trailblazer have experienced the same problems with their headlights. i have not replaced any parts yet. the vehicle is under warranty until 36k; the vehicle currently has 24k miles. *jb |
