Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: 2006 honda odyssey had third brake failure. previous two times i didn't know if my foot had slipped off of brake slightly or if it was in fact a brake problem. the third time, there was a grinding noise associated with braking, and the van had an increased stopping distance. i had to pump the brake several times and push it hard to get any braking at all. i almost ended up in a busy street and was very scared that i couldn't stop. all three of the incidents happened while driving slow- maybe 10 miles an hour. i had it towed to the dealer, and they replaced the brake pads and rotors even though they couldn't duplicate the problem. however, they stated that these items should not have caused a problem with braking. i'm not confident that the issue has been resolved and am scared that it will happen again and that i won't be able to prevent a serious accident. *nm |
