| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Dt*: the contact stated while traveling 75 mph on clear dry road conditions, the tread of the rear driver side tire separated. the contact managed to pull the vehicle over without incident. a bumpy noise was heard seconds prior to the tread separation. the contact's father was called, who came and replaced the defective tire with a spare tire. the contact called the place where the tire was purchased who determined that the tread separated due to an unknown object on the road. the contact disagreed, and had a witness when the incident occurred. the tire was replaced. the contact planned to notify the tire manufacturer after filing a safety complaint with the nhtsa. *ak |
