Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Tire pressure monitoring system (tpms) installed on the vehicle, per new nhtsa regulations, has failed multiple times with a fault condition displayed on the dash light. nissan dealer does not have a permanent fix, they just "reregister" the sensors which is only a temporary fix. initial failure on this vehicle occurred at 4216 miles and was "re-registered", and failed again at approximately 5400 miles. failure prevents tpms system from functioning correctly - it reports an error when all tires are ok, and the continuous error effectively disables the system for its intended purpose. *nm |
