Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I have a 1999 chevrolet gmt-400 pickup with abs brakes. the abs sensor is defective, causing the abs to activate at low speeds, such as in parking lots. i have had a lot of close calls due to this manufacturing defect. general motors corporation had a recall on 1999 chevy silverados due to this manufacturing defect. they removed and cleaned the abs sensors and coated them with a substance to prevent future rusting of the components. i went to a chevrolet dealership to check on this recall for my vehicle. i was told it was not covered under the recall. i believe the braking system is the same as the 1999 chevy silverado and should have been included in this recall. i live in the so called "rust belt " area included in the recall. please look into this matter for me. thank you. *jb |
