| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: My 1999 chevy silverado 1500 4wd vehicle would lurch and stall as if it weren't getting enough fuel. the fuel filter was replaced and 2 hours later the same symptoms occurred. eventually the fuel pump and injectors #7 & #8 were replaced at a cost of $1413.84. three weeks later the same symptoms occurred. it has been determined that the fuel line is rusted out & there was a tsb #000604024; however, we were never notified of this. replacement of the fuel line etc. is now estimated to cost another $1500.00. we will be asking for the old fuel line as proof of the rust that caused this problem. *jb |
