| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: 2003 chevrolet silverado speedometer sticks at speeds over 40 mph. when the vehicle slows down, the speedometer develops an "offset zero." i realized the problem had occurred slowing to a stop light. the most dire consequence was slowing to turn after realizing the problem had occurred and having no reliable gauge as to my turning speed. i never realized how much i refer to my speedometer while slowing until i almost missed my turn entirely because of this failure. i have since had the digital instrument panel cluster repaired at a cost of $200, by a non-gm technician. *jb |
