| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: My 2004 chevrolet silverado 1500's speedometer functions erratically sometimes stating that i am going 120 mph or 0 mph. i took it to my mechanic who stated that they just replaced an instrument cluster on a tahoe. was told that the instrument cluster would have to be sent to gm for repair and cost about $350 or $400. i have been reading here and on the internet and it seems that a lot of folks are having the same problem. can a recall be forced or suggested by the government?*jb |
