| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Dt*: the contact stated while driving 40 mph on the highway, a passing motorist motioned to pull the vehicle over. the contact pulled the vehicle to the side of the road and white smoke erupted from between the bed and cab of the truck as well as underneath. the fire department was alerted, and extinguished the flames. also, the police were alerted, and a report was taken. the vehicle was deemed a total loss due to the extensive fire damage. the fire department inspected the vehicle and determined there was a small hole in the fuel tank which resulted in gasoline leaking onto a nearby wiring harness and ultimately causing an ignition source which led to a fire. the manufacturer was not alerted. |
