Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: My 3 year old son unbuckled the seat belt while in car seat while car was parked. he managed to get the seat belt twisted around his waist and chest. he started screaming, and when i tried to get slack in seat belt, there was none. it kept restricting him and started to effect his breathing, which became labored and shallow. as much as i tried i could get no slack. i went to look for a knife and had to cut the seat belt to free him. i took it into stephen wade honda. they looked at the other seat belt in the back seat and said it was functioning properly, but had no slack when unlocked like the others. my son could have been killed by this. when a seat belt is unbuckled, there should be a way to get slack and pull it out to avoid these very situations. this needs to be a recall and the cam system needs to be redone so it allows more slack for emergencies. *jb |
