| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: When driving at high speeds (above 50 mph) there is a whining coming from the drivetrain. i have an 06 tacoma reg. cab with 4x4 & 5 speed with less than 500 miles. truck has made the noise since purchase date. service tech thought noise was normal or may go away eventually. i then test drove a duplicate truck off dealer lot with service tech & there was no whining. they then conceited that it was not normal. they have replaced the transmission, transfer case & driveshaft with no results. fortunately dealer does recognize the problem however they can not give a solution. dealer has provided me with loaner car while problem is being worked, but they have had the truck 24 days of the approx. 70 days i have owned truck. *jb |
