Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Evenflo embrace 5 model# 3171478 manufacturer date 28 oct 2005. my wife and i have been using this new car seat for about 6 weeks now. today when i was positioning the carrying handle i noticed that one of the sides was not locking correctly so i immediately placed my hand underneath to make sure it did not drop. since it is sunday i have not been able to contact the manufacturer yet but will see what they tell me tomorrow. also as soon as i placed the car seat on the floor and moved the handle into the appropriate position one of the red locking mechanisms fell out. thank god that my 6 week old was already on the ground. i have looked at the other complaints on this site about this same type of situation and on none of them does it look like the manufacturer has helped any. at this time i can only use this as an infant carrier. *nm
