| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: My 2005 jeep liberty diesel suddenly and without warning loses power, and will either die or only move at under 10 mph. i have had this happen while driving down the interstate and luckily an accident was avoided. the same problem frequently occurs while in stop and go traffic and is especially concerning when turning left at stop signs and stop lights. i took the vehicle to the dealership and they told me the torque converter and transmission pump needed replacement, but it would be ok to continue to drive the vehicle. i expressed my concerns that continued operation of the vehicle with the problems its exhibited could potentially be unsafe. they told me the parts would be available the next week and it would be fine until then. *jb |
