| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: At 12,000 miles transmission jammed while downshifting. a loud bang and it shifted ok, but made noise. to dealer 8/06 who performed tear down. found syncro dogs broken off second gear, the broken parts destroyed 3rd 4th & main shaft. polaris denied any issues with the bikes & refused goodwill assistance. paid $2400.00 for repair. while searching internet...(thevmc.com) found there were other issues with this transmission & one case of a locked trans at 30 mph. *jb |
