| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Dt*: the contact stated while traveling various speeds on dry normal road conditions, the antilock braking system activated and pumped continuously when the brakes were applied. shortly after, the abs warning light illuminated. the failure occurred while cruising. there were no warnings prior to the incident. a nhtsa recall regarding the speed sensors, was performed two weeks prior to the incident. the vehicle was taken to the dealer who determined that both problems were not related, and a diagnostic test displayed that the electronic control module was faulty and would need to be replaced. there were no repairs made. the contact removed the fuse that supplied power to the electronic control module in the mean time, which deactivated the abs system. the contact planned to file a complaint with the manufacturer after filing a complaint with the nhtsa. updated 1/19/2007 -*nm |
