Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: On or about november 27, i found out on the internet that there was a recall on my britax boulevard (model no. e9l5769; date of manuf: 7/17/06). why they call it a "recall" i have no idea. in fact, it is not a recall. their solution for an unsafe tether is to stop using it after 50 lbs. although i had registered with britax when i purchased the car seat, i received no notification from them. i paid $300 plus for the boulevard because i was told that i could use it with the top tether up to 65 pounds. now i am told that i can't use it after 50 lbs. additionally, when i called britax's recall information line the woman i spoke to informed me that my acura mdx has a weight limit on the tether which is 50 pounds. when i called acura to confirm this, they informed me that the information britax provided me with was inaccurate. that the 2006 acura mdx does not have a weight limit on the tether. i believe the list britax was looking at when i was given the 40 lbs limit information was outdated! i called britax back and informed them of this and their customer service representatives (the same one i spoke to initially) solution was to speak to her supervisor. she refused to give me her name. so i called him [xxx] and left a message with the supervisor but i doubt i will hear back. i find britax's customer service and solution totally unacceptable. i do not care about getting money back, i just want to keep my son safe. why can't britax send a new tether set or replace the seats? it is not my fault or my son's fault that britax did not properly create this car seat. we should not have to suffer for their mistakes. please do something about this. if any more information is needed please do not hesitate to contact me. thank you, [xxx]. *nm information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr
