Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: While driving at 50 mph, speedometer 'failed' to the needle pointing straight down. i drove another 10 minutes home, speedometer needle never moved. cycling engine off/on seemed to cause the needle to 'decrease' indicated speed by about 10 mph with each cycling. after cycling the ignition about 15 times while parked in my driveway, speed again read 0. starting the engine again, the indicator still read 0, and when driving around the block, the speedometer seemed to work again. doing a google search for possible fixes, i found a web-site full of people with similar issues with comparable gmc vehicles. is there a recall in the works? *nm |
