Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Dt*: the contact stated when the vehicle was started, there was a loud knocking noise and the warning light was illuminated. the vehicle was driven to a service station. the dip stick was checked for oil level. the contact added two quarts, waited 5 minutes, and then checked the oil level again. the level was indicated the oil tank was still near empty, so the contact added one more quart. then the level was too high, so the contact emptied the oil and added the recommended 5 quarts. the warning light continued to illuminate, but the vehicle would not start. the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. the service dealer and manufacturer were not contacted.
